Since it is inevitable, I am going to document the PGA Tour Pros that test positive for COVID19, the date they tested positive and the tournament(s) they will have to sit out. The first tournament after the shelter in place was the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Dallas, Texas on June 11th-14th, 2020. The PGA Tour plans to use 1 million COVID19 test kits to finish the season. In April 2020, Commissioner of the PGA Tour, Jay Monahan said:
“We need to have widespread, large-scale testing across our country. We’re going to need to be able to test players, caddies and other constituents before we return, but we need to do so in a way that’s not going to take away from the critical need that we’re currently facing, and we feel confident, based on the advice that we’re getting from medical experts, that we’ll be in that position.”
