Lesson #202 – December 21st, 2020

Today was strictly a backswing day at PKU as we really focused on getting a much deeper turn. It is crazy how far I have come. Patrick simply stands to the left of me, activates my left side with a slight nudge and allows me to turn. Something he has added recently is to hold my left elbow as I get close to the top of the backswing so I don’t pull my arms back to my body. This allows my left side to turn under and deeper even more.

We really only worked on this move for about 35 minutes. I know we have to add another layer to get really deep in the backswing but for now Patrick is allowing me to turn to the top and then will adjust my shoulders at the top so my right shoulder is softer and actually a little bit lower than I would normally have it.

My chipping motion continues to get better with a more firm grip and my full swing is getting better. I am starting to see more fall left fades rather than the ball spinning hard one way or the other. Patrick was very pleased with my backswing and full swing. I still need to work on my left leg stabilizing at and through impact but that will come on a downswing day.
