Lesson #180 – November 3rd, 2020

Today was a backswing day at PKU and the focus really was on the tendon on the right side of my lower back. I can now feel it stretching and lengthening as I complete the backswing. Patrick said the longer that can feel, the better the backswing. In essence, we want the lat to expand all the way from the top of the glutes through the air pit and the arms should extend giving me the longest amount of space from my hip to my hands in the golf swing.

I am hitting the ball in the center of the ball right now but that is something we will address on the downswing day tomorrow. Right now, I need to focus on making certain I can feel the tendon in my right lower back stretching as I get to the top of my backswing.

It’s election night in America so we will see how that turns out.

UPDATE: Election night in America became election week in America as Joe Biden was not determined the winner until the Saturday after the Tuesday election. As far as my golf swing, I am still working on the downswing with the right side being patient from the top until I get my hips back to level. Then I can fire with the right obliques but only if the space between my obliques and my right leg crease remains consistent; not scrunched.
