Lesson #237 – March 4th, 2021

Another backswing day at PKU and Patrick continues to work on the crease of the lower right side getting to the top. At the top, the left shoulder stays low and the right side drives under. Once again, it is still amazing how much I wanted to “loop” the club behind me instead of just letting it fall back on plain. It will be interesting to see how long it takes me to get the feel for the club not looping.

I still need to do quite a bit of work with my legs as everything wants to collapse as I get deeper into the backswing. Something else I am feeling at the top of the backswing is wanting to lift up. If I really suck in with my lower right side, that will stop the “lifting” that all amateurs do. It just takes a lot of core strength to do this.

Patrick gave me the homework of continuing to get to the top with the lower right crease and transitioning with the left shoulder staying low and the right side coming under. 100 of these a night until I get to 10,000.
