Today was another day of working on rhythm which comes from a slow takeaway and a slow transition from the backswing to the downswing. Patrick is now saying, “turn, turn, turn” after the take away and then, “slow” at the top when I get to the transition into the downswing. It is crazy that my swing is now slow enough for him to basically give me directions during it.
There is still plenty of work to do, but I can really go slow on the backswing and into the transition. I still hit a few balls a little heavy now and again, but my ball striking is so much better. I still don’t understand how to create speed at the bottom but that will come with time.
