Lesson #293 – June 29th, 2021

More focus on rhythm and transition. Patrick wants me to get a little more into step #2 which is the left ribs feeling like they are creating the take away. I hang on to the lower obliques and then try to go right into the left lat. I need to get a little more depth with feeling the right ribs doing some work. It is very subtle but when I do it correctly without a club in my hand, I can feel just a slight bit more depth and a lot more smoothness from the take away to the “turn, turn, turn”.

I hit a couple of really great shots today. Patrick even mentioned one of the swings was “Tour speed”. While I don’t think that is the case, I am definitely feeling a much more smooth transition and can accept that even where there are a few flaws in my backswing, I still hit the ball really well.

I have one more lesson until I head to Park City for 8 days. I am in a much better mental space today than I was two weeks ago. If I can continue to keep my backswing slow and make certain to address my posture every now and then, I get better every single day.
