Lesson #305 – July 29th, 2021

Yesterday was a rainout as it started pouring as soon as we started the lesson and rained the entire time. Today we really continued the focus on a very slow and low take away and then getting into the turn, turn, turn to complete the backswing. Patrick also continues to work on my right elbow and right arm falling straight down during the transition rather than staying far away from my body. He explained that the more my right shoulder and right arm can relax and stay “inside” and on my ribs though impact, the better golfer I am going to be.

As with every lesson in the last few days, I hit the ball extremely well. We finished with five three quarters swings and I hit them all great. I am starting to slowly get the feel for my right elbow basically tucking and being super soft and staying behind me during the transition. I am not forcing it to “stay back” but am allowing my right side to do the work while relaxing my shoulders.
